What We Did

SDC’s previous main website was several years out of date and had a content management system (CMS) that was no longer fit for purpose. In addition they had individual sites for other parts of the organisation so SDC wanted a new website that included all parts of the organisation including a members area, shopping facility and a course/ event booking option.

Following the kick off meeting we created a detailed specification document that outlined how the website would function and flow. Once signed off, using Adobe XD, we were able to present a realistic prototype of how the website would look and feel when live. The site was developed based around the agreed sitemap and included e-commerce functionality that was built on the WooCommerce platform and utilised contact form 7 for all contact forms.

Users can typically purchase related products and book training courses. In addition a membership area was created that enabled users to access specific info (webinars, publications, offers etc.) that was linked to their profile type e.g. student, company etc. The membership area also had admin access that allowed SDC to set up members on a recurring charge to ensure members did not lose their access.
