A holistic approach to marketing for Orion Homes with Search, Email & PPC
Orion Homes are a family-run luxury new build developer – based in Yorkshire. Since their first home in 1978, they’ve stayed true to their ethos of quality, personal service, and attention to detail.
Run by siblings Jo and Andrew Lumb, Orion work closely with local suppliers to make sure every home reflects the same high standards they set for themselves. They pride themselves on giving buyers a flexible, tailored experience, making sure each home feels right for the people who live in it. For Orion, it’s never just about the number of sales – it’s about making sure every home is built right and every buyer is happy.
What They Came to Us For
Jo had been working with a smaller agency but wanted to bring everything under one roof. She was looking for a bigger team that could take some of the pressure off her shoulders and manage:
- Design support
- Social media
- Email campaigns
- Website content (blogs)
The idea was to eventually grow into a full SEO strategy, as well as introduce PPC when the new housing developments had formally launched. Jo also wanted some guidance and account management support to keep on top of enquiries, data, and general strategy advice.
What We Did
We kicked things off by creating a social media style that matched their newly updated website, along with a 12-month content plan covering:
- New house launches
- Seasonal trends
- Local area highlights
This was tied in with email marketing to support the same themes and encourage bookings and viewings on new properties. On the website side, we built a structured content plan that worked for both visitors and search engines.
One of the challenges we faced (and is common in this industry) was creating content before the houses were even built. By working closely with the Orion team, we found ways to bring the homes to life through design visuals, storytelling, and early-stage content. Now that the houses are starting to take shape, we’ve been able to go on site and capture reel-style content, giving a real, dynamic look at the homes as they come to life.
Everything was brought together into a holistic strategy – so socials, emails, and web content all worked together rather than in isolation.
The partnership has grown and developed, and we have recently expanded into full SEO. This has included looking in much more depth at what people are actually searching for when buying a new home, as well as improving website layouts and overall user experience.
Our SEO team has also developed a structured checklist, prioritised from most critical to least, allowing us to focus on the areas that will deliver the most value first – both for Orion and for their customers using the site. This is something we’re currently working through and reviewing, with performance still in the early stages as data continues to build.
The Results
Since launching the strategy:
- Social media reach per post is up 88%
- Views have grown 81% year on year
- Followers are steadily increasing – without ads so far
- Reels have brought new audiences to their pages
- A PPC campaign for the Meadows development has recently launched to boost enquiries after the show home opening
Overall, Orion now has a streamlined, stress-free marketing approach that’s attracting more interest in their homes and making their online presence more polished and purposeful.
