How AI And Automation Can Help You Manage Your Workload

Discover how AI and automation can lighten your workload, boost productivity, and help you focus on what really matters. See how it can transform your daily tasks.

When you’re swamped with work, it often feels nearly impossible to take time out to learn something new. For instance, learning JavaScript could significantly benefit your career, but finding the time for it might seem out of reach.

I heard the most wonderful example on why it is so important to set aside time out to learn new skills, which can greatly enhance your ability to perform your role at a higher standard in the future.

Imagine your daily working life is a game of table-tennis, where you’re constantly focused on returning the ball. Now, picture a large pile of bricks at your feet. Every so often, you pick up a brick and place it on the table, which may cause you to miss a couple of shots – but that’s okay.

You continue playing, occasionally picking up another brick and setting it on the table. Once again, you might let a few balls slip by, but that’s okay too.

If you persist in playing while steadily building up the pile of bricks, eventually, you’ll have a constructed a wall that returns every ball for you. At that point, you can set down your paddle – as you no longer need to be consumed by “busy” work. The wall you’ve built now handles it, freeing your time up to focus on other things.

The example illustrates just how effective AI & Automation can be if you allow it to perform certain tasks for you so you can focus your attention on other activities.

For example, this whole article was written by AI whilst I did my weekly food shop! That is a joke of-course (!)
